i'm heading back to sydney in mid-june and i am so excited! all i can think about is hugging my dad, hanging with my brother and talking to him about tattoos, having breakfast with the girls, getting dressed up in my beloved clothes, shenanigans with some rockers and actually being in a city i once hated with a passion, because let's face it.. watching bondi rescue on tv isn't the same thing as actually being there, right?

so, already i've got a full weekend planned already.
- fly in friday night. i should be landing by 10pm.
- saturday: get up early, go to breakfast with the girls in the western suburbs (shudder) and attend a baby shower.
- saturday night: frankenvodka, leopard print, leather, skulls, heavy metal music, black clothes and ladytown. ♥
- sunday: family time! dad, brother and grandparents.
- sunday afternoon: fly back to melbourne.

i think the hardest thing about leaving melbourne would be leaving the boyfriend. he's going to be driving me to the airport and having to walk away from him would be really upsetting. however, he'll be there to pick me up on sunday evening.
it'll also be difficult to leave my family and friends behind again too. but i'm planning to fly back up for my birthday in september. it's going to be an epic birthday as well - 25 years-old - quarter of a century! and i'm hoping to bring the boyfriend with me so he can finally meet everyone that matters to me.

melbourne life is pretty damn amazing! in 22 days of living in melbourne i've..

- established some sort of a life.
- i scored myself a job that i like.
- made new friends.
- found myself head over heels in love with a new boy.
- finding my way around the city without too many episodes of losing myself.
- able to let go of the past.
..& now, i'm looking for a place to buy.

i will say this though.. i don't think i could have done it without the love and support of the boyfriend and his family. if it weren't for them, i would have been back in sydney and feeling absolutely miserable about my life. being in this new relationship has made me less selfish and relearning to put someone else before myself. i've still got a lot to do, but the boy has faith in me and in us. he's really amazing and i don't think anyone can ever replace and match what he's done for me.

- trying to configure outlook express. fail.
- trying to understand wordpress. epic fail!
- emailing my rep at my hosting provider about wordpress.
- getting inspiration from other blogs.
- washing.
- typing up a "about me" page and not exactly knowing what to write about.
- texting MC.
- downloading other music from limewire.
- coding/html/css.
- watching family guy season 7.

i'm getting around to upgrading this domain. i've neglected it for almost three years, i think it's time to do something about it.

instead of updating this weblog manually, i'm going to get on the case of installing wordpress. i'm probably the only domain owner who doesn't use it nor how to install it. if anyone is feeling generous, please let me know if you can help me out. email me: girlicide@gmail.com. cheers!

also, i'll start uploading all the projects i've been working on. in particular, my photolog. still in the works. i think that will be launched once i get wordpress working too.

i have a lot of LIFE to organise beforehand, though. i think by the time i move to melbourne (aiming around mid-march) everything will just come into play. things are looking up and i'm feeling very optimistic about my move and starting afresh. there were a few bumps in the road but i have one AMAZING support network happening here in sydney at the moment, not to mention some awesome people in melbourne too to get me through any hiccups along the way.

when you've hit the very bottom, the only way to go.. is UP!

so, my beloved melbourne weekend has been & gone. how much i already miss it! but i'll be back there soon enough & the next time, it'll be for good! all i need is a job & then i'll gladly pack up my shit here and go!

also, PLEASE donate to the red cross for the victorian bushfire appeal. i was there when temps reached 46.4 degrees C (115.5 degrees F) and it wasn't pleasant at all! lucky for me, i was in the suburbs where we only had to deal with the heat. there are some people in bushland who have lost absolutely everything, including loved ones and animals. you can also contribute by doing your grocery shopping at COLES (facebook fundraiser) on friday and all the money spent goes to helping those affected by the disaster.

- that you eat "rodent food" full-time & loves it because you're trying to help save animals & its YOU.
